Getting Started Using a Computer

This program is an introduction to choosing and using a computer. We'll talk about the basic kinds of computers (desktop, laptop, netbook), about hard drives and memory, about connecting a digital camera, printer, and even a TV, about ways to connect to the Internet, and will touch upon the great Mac/PC debate. We'll demonstrate the basics of using a web browser to connect to the web, and discuss some of the services available on the Internet to make your computer use more efficient and productive.

Below you will find links to online resources, free downloads of the handouts we use in our programs, and links to Amazon for books, software, and hardware where appropriate.
